Hang Out With The Animals

Staying overnight at Wishing Well Sanctuary is a unique experience that gives our guests an opportunity to get up close and personal with the animals.

Yoda

Yoda was our very first pig! He fell off a transport truck headed to a finishing barn to be “fattened up”. Fortunately, a couple who witnessed this rescued him and brought him here to his forever home!

He was a tiny piglet with enormous ears and a little body.  There was only one name that suited him best—Yoda!!  Today, he has more than grown into his ears!

Moo Moo

Moo Moo was rescued when he was one day old. He was born in a transport truck on his way to auction. Fortunately, an animal control officer saved him and brought him to join our beautiful bovines!

He loves to use his horns to pick up hay and straw and fling it into the air! He is a treasured member of our family and we’re honoured to be able to offer him a life of friendship and love!

Jinx

Jinx was rescued by the OSPCA investigating a cruelty case. Within the first half hour of Jinx’s arrival, it was clear that this fellow was a trickster, a goat brimming with a cheeky and playful disposition. Jinx was meant to be his name! He steals the spotlight and thoroughly enjoys being a star in his domain!

Our Happy Guests

My family and I (two young kids, my husband and I) enjoyed our “glamping” experience at Wishing Well Sanctuary very much this summer.

Right from the booking to our last moment at the farm we were impressed with the exceptional service and kindness from Annette and the volunteers we had the opportunity to interact with.
The glamping tent was exceptional, the space was beautiful and the experience with the animals was amazing!
I was so impressed with the volunteers taking their time to allow our kids to help with some of the farm duties with the animals.
It was both a unique learning experience as well as a vacation for all of us. We all enjoyed being able to connect with the animals.
I would absolutely recommend the glamping experience at Wishing Well and hope that many others can experience the kindness, love and compassion with the animals, volunteers and staff at the farm.

I booked the “Camping with the Cows” space for my niece and I for a fall weekend and had a fantastic time. It was deeply rejuvenating to spend time in this peaceful, healing place, and to get to know all these beautiful animals. I cannot say enough about how patient and caring the staff were, explaining the animals to us and giving us quality time with them all. We came away with full hearts and many wonderful memories.

My partner and I had the pleasure of staying at Wishing Well Sanctuary. We stayed the night in a beautifully secluded luxury tent. It was cozy and warm inside and surrounded by a pond.
Meeting the animals was the best part. They all have their own personalities and it was so much fun interacting with them.
The staff were super kind and helpful. You can tell they truly enjoy caring for these animals. It’s quite beautiful.
The whole experience was grounding and rewarding. We can’t wait to visit again!

Shay and Alex

We had a lovely fall weekend at “Camping with the Cows”. The sanctuary was easy to find and only an hour’s drive from Toronto. Arriving at the trailer, Annette was warm and welcoming. The trailer was set up comfortably and way more comfortable than we had expected! We had a lovely two days and enjoyed working with Marc in the morning, setting up breakfast for the animals. Marc even took the time to show us the cows and chatted with us around the philosophy of Wishing Well. I hadn’t felt so relaxed in a long time. We hope to return in the future and try out the glamping option!

I’d give the stay 10 stars in everything if I could!!  The location was wonderful.  You have a great view of Thunder the llama as well as two very sweet alpacas and sheep. The animals are very well loved and taken care of. Don’t wear bright pink as Hector the turkey does not like that colour, lol. I recommend adding on the Barnyard MOOvie and any other add-on that appeals to you. Don’t hesitate to book, you won’t regret it and will probably want to go back fairly soon!
